It will be as the servers get hammered and depending on your ISP and which map you download. This comes up every time a new map is released but there's not much you can do about it. Different users will have different experiences. |

865 Western Europe downloaded very quickly this morning. Installed OK without having to use card reader trick mapsettings.cfg copied over from backup. No reboot problems. Don't yet know if there are any significant changes... _________________ GO 750 Live HD Traffic, Map Europe 930, Navcore 9.510 |

I had a similar choice but it shows the 8.65 W&CE on my device and 8.50 Zones on my computer - no offer of new zones, not that I want them.
Map Shares already available as well!
Did not lose my map settings file.
Now for the UK & ROI map. _________________ Drivelux |

Just pity those owners of the newer devices running Navcore 10 with the restrictive "MyTomTom" interface, their maps are now three releases out of date........

Backed up downloaded new map all installed OK restored the original mapsettings.cfg file and everything is now OK including Favourites and Pocket GPS cameras and warnings.
Download was only about 9 minutes on an average speed link. |

Why?
As we are always told there is never much, if any, difference to the "newer" maps anyway |

Same here Hummer. They are obviously the ony ones available for the 1005 at present. I believe these are about 7months old. |

Count yourself lucky!
My 5 day old 1000 has map 850.3018
My old GO 930 has map 850, and I haven't updated that for nearly a year. _________________ GO 620, Tomtom Android EU,

Just updated my 750 Live to Europe West Zone 8.65, I maxed out my internet connection while downloading, took about an hour.
However - the latest maps still DO NOT reflect the major road changes that have occured at Junction 11 of the M4 at Reading, where a road improvement scheme has been active for over a year and is now more or less complete (just cosmetic improvements to be made - laying of grass, planting of trees etc). |
