|
|
Hi,
As noted elsewhere, the latest maps for the TT750 Live are too big for the device.
I stuck a 4 gig card in & selected this as the destination drive.
After about a hour, I was hit with a message that the memory was not big enough & transfer to the TT had failed.
OK...so I then stick a 16gig card in backed up the TT to it (all works well).
However, when I now try to download the full maps I am informed that the memory on my device is not large enough & am given the option to download the map regions.
Home recognises the card (I 'selected it')..so I'm flummoxed why it won't allow the download.
Any advice would be appreciated.
NB, I haven't removed the software from the TT- could this be the problem? _________________ Jaguar XF R Sport AWD

Copy everything from the internal device memory to your computer then on to the MicroSD card, a 4GB card is more than adequate. You can then remove the files from the device internal memory, insert the car and switch the unit on, let it boot up before switching off and removing the memory card.
Next pop the card in to a card reader (not the TomTom) and use Home to update the map on the memory card, this avoids the mistake Home often makes by trying to put the map in to the wrong location even when you have told it what you wanted - Mike |

Thanks, as ever Mike.
Will try that now...

I still don't understand why Home seems to do this, but only to some people.
I've installed quite a few maps to SD card now and not once has Home tried to put it onto the internal memory as well/instead. |

Paul,
It got worse...Once I'd started to install to the sd card, I got an error about 10 mins in (file missing..don't know why..but have created a new download folder to try again) AND to add insult to injury all my favourites have wandered off..even though I did a complete backup.
(I hope that this new map is worth it..in the long run)
