What's involved in putting USA maps on my iPhone version of TT (or is it even possible) ? Trying to decide whether I need to pack my TT940 or whether I can just use my phone. _________________ Tony

Just purchase the iPhone app that covers North America and it will download and install assuming you have enough space for it on the iPhone.
Each of the TomTom apps cover a different map, you need to purchase which ever map app you need, there isn't any discount for multiple maps on the same iPhone - Mike |

Now bought and downloaded. Remarkably good value for money (£23.99) particularly considering that (for me) iTunes purchases only cost 2/3 of ticket price - last time Clintons did an iTunes offer I bought £500 worth.
Don't know why anyone buys a PND anymore, I find the iPhone version of TomTom superior to my TT940 in almost every respect. _________________ Tony

Just remeber to pack your car charger and holder for the iPhone prior to your trip, running a nav app on the iPhone is a sure fire way to deplete the battery unless its connected to the charger point.
Also make sure you check the charger point in the car is working before driving off, if its faulty reject the vehicle - Mike |

Is the Pope a Catholic ? I usually travel with a Mophie juice pack, another 3rd party expansion battery, a cigar lighter USB plug and my rucksack that has solar cells with a USB output (bought via this website incidentally).
And yes, I do check the car cigar lighter - in fact my wife mocks me because when I get to a hotel I am checking the wifi in the room before I will unpack, or even check if there is a bath in the bathroom which for some reason is particularly important to her _________________ Tony
