I've just got an upgrade to my phone, a Nokia 6700. I selected this model because it's shown in Tom Tom's list of compatible phones for my TT GO 530.
Guess What ?.........It wont pair with my TT GO 530, and it's not in the phone list on my Tom Tom Go 530!!!!!!!!!
Anyone got any ideas or suggestions ? |

I'm completely guessing, but it sounds as though you have previously paired a phone with your 530 so you know how to go about it and that isn't the problem.
It's something of a rarity to read about somebody upgrading to a phone which is on the TT list of compatible phones, far more often it's to phone which aren't listed!
I have seen many reports of pairing being difficult, but succeeding simply because the user persevered, making attempt after attempt and eventually it happened. Frustrating but that's what has happened. Is the 530 up to date? Have you ever restored from a Windows Explorer backup? What have you done to it in the past? Give Clearflash a try? _________________ Dennis

Give the reset button in the base of the 530 a quick prod then try pairing the new phone, if your old phone is still listed on the 530 delete it - Mike |

Well, I managed to get it to pair eventually
I can't say what the fix was because I did all of the following:-
pin reset, restored old backup, fully charged phone and then retried and it connected |

I don't think anybody has come up with a reliable fix, or a defined description of what they did which fixed it. That's why I gave the technical solution - persevere!!! _________________ Dennis
