|
|
Hi
Before I go ahead and update my iPaq 1940 Rom to ver 1.10, does anybody know if by updating the ROM, the Ttn3 activation codes will be accepted again?
I presume it should be ok to re install Ttn3, as the hardware ID will not change, and the activation process will accept the new ROM version.
I understand that by doing the ROM update, all addtional programs and data are lost in the process, so I will need to reinstall Ttn3 & maps.
I last installed them about 3 weeks ago. According to TT's website, the original activation codes submitted after 7 days, will not be accepted on a "New or Replacement PDA" untill after 6 months from activating.
I don't think this would apply to me though.
Any confirmation \ help would be welcome.
Thanks!! |

You should have no problems - either the program will do the activation automatically or you will have to go to ttcode web site - either way it will accept that it is the same ipaq.
good luck

The unit's hardware ID which TT use for the activation process will not change following a ROM upgrade (although for HP Jornada's this was not always the case!) and so you will not have any problem re-activating _________________ Darren Griffin |

I hope you did not upgrade yet to this version because this version has a lot of troubles and might destroy your pocket pc . |

When I upgraded the ROM, I re-installed TomTom and did not have to activate it - it worked straight away
