Hi. I'll need a little more information as I don't fully understand your issue?
Can you download and extract the data successfully?
Is the TomTom visible as a device on your desktop or in Explorer? _________________ Darren Griffin |

Hi Darren i can follow The instruction until i get the files extracted and then the list is different to your screen shot Tom Tom is not shown.
In XP i used to be able to drag and drop the files,i can still do this but Windows does not recognise the files. |

If you cannot see your TomTom when it is connected then that is a bigger issue which we need to resolve first.
You say you can still drag and drop the files, where are you dragging the dropping them to? _________________ Darren Griffin |

Hmm ok. What is the exact error message you get when you do that?
And have you tried copying and pasting rather than drag and drop? _________________ Darren Griffin |

Have you got MicroSoft Office (latest version) installed on the computer as thats known to mess up file association with zip files?
Don't try removing it a simple yes/ no then we can tell you whats needed to repair what MS broke when Office installed - Mike |

they always were in XP | You will need to drop them in the 'Current Map' Folder on F Drive for the Device to be able to use them.
Even if the File Association of the Files means that they are not recognised by Windows, as long as they are the correct Files for the TT (OV2 and BMP), they will work OK. _________________ Richard

You did fine. The main thing to remember is that once you've unzipped the files, all you are using Windows for is to move them from one place to another.
To do that it doesn't actually matter whether Windows knows what the files are or what to do with them, so long as they can be pasted onto the TomTom. |
