Welcome to the forum, connect your device to the PC and use TomTom Home to update the device, with the latest software installed the XL_2 has the necessary custom POI menu selections - Mike |

Thanx for the reply mike. I have the latest updates for my XL2 but, it still only detect a few speed cameras. But my TT GO 300 detects a lot more of them. Is this an XL2 problem or TomTom themselves.? |

Have you installed the speed camera database from this site and configured the "Warn When Near POI" option for ALL the speed camera categories installed? - Mike |

Go through the menu pages including the Change Preferences and see if you can locate the Warn When Near POI or possibly Manage POI menu options, the Warn When Near POI is the important option you need to find on the device. Use the device on its own don't use the operate my Go via TomTom Home, if this option for warning when near POI's is available the install and configuration is the same as all other TomTom devices and - Mike |

Thanx Mike. I can go to POI and warn when approaching POI but no cameras are in the list. Just the general Airports Cinemas ETC. As i mentioned i have not tryed to download anything off this site yet. It does have an option to Add a POI. But if i type camera in there it finds nothing because it is not in the satnav. |

If I am following this correctly and you haven't loaded the PGPSW database then I suspect the few cameras that are being detected are in the TomTom database. |

Did you mean Paul?
If so, the TomTom database isn't as up to date or as accurate as the PGPSW one hence there are "missing" cameras. |

Download and install the camera POI files to your device in accordance with the instructions in the video or the various guides that are within the forum, configure the warnings in the same way as the video and then you might start to see a difference.
Currently you haven't put the files on the device so I fail to understand how you expect to see the PocketGPS database listed under the POI options - Mike |
