No POI icon in preferences setting

Try as I might, I cannot see any POI icon anywere, not even under preferences, any ideas?

A little more detail on the problem you're experiencing would help.

Assuming that you're trying to install one or more POI files you've downloaded into TomTom Navigator 2 or 3, you should have both a .bmp and a .ov2 file. You copy those into your map folder - it will be called something like Great_Britain Navigator Map in your Storage Card. If you need some more information on how to do that, post again.


Once you've done that, you should be able to go to File, Properties, POI tab and select the POI category for display.


Rather than messing around installing and updating POI files manually, you can synchronise POI files directly with Pocket GPS World using either POI Edit (runs on the PC, freeware) or GPSAssist 2 (runs on the Pocket PC, not free but not expensive).

If you want POI warning, you need additional software such as GPSAssist 2 or CheckPOInt (if you want to use the Pocket GPS World camera database, I suggest you use CheckPOInt 2.0.2 from this site's download area rather than CheckPOInt 3).
