I've looked and can't find this so don't flame me if I've missed it!
I have a whole bunch of POIs, mostly camera warnings, that I want to attach a warning sound to on my Go910. The interface is so clunky in TTH that it takes forever even to do a couple. Any ideas for how to do a load at a time please? |

There is no quick way to do this.
Just make sure you keep a backup copy of the file mapsettings.cfg in your map directory as this is where the settings are stored. _________________ Drivelux |

Holy grail, mate....
I must have re-done all 30 PGPSW camera warnings a hundred times by now, so I would love a quicker way, but there just isn't one.
However, I would say it is definitely quicker to do it on the TomTom itself, rather than in the Home emulator.
But as MrT says, the "mapsettings.cfg" file is the key to not having to re-do them all QUITE so often.
Get everything the way you like and then make several backup copies of that file.
I even keep a spare copy on my TomToms (in the root directory where it is ignored) Then, if the settings disappear for any reason (it does happen) and I can get access to a PC , then I can replace it anywhere. |

Depressing, but thanks to both for the quick response.
Not just PGPSW UK, but also Europe where I live and Oz where I'm going in a couple of days. By the time I've done the lot I'll be too knackered to exceed any speed limit anyway.
And yes, I did have that file backed up although I wasn't aware of its function, but as I add favourites quite often if I just restore one copy I'll lose some favourites, etc etc. Nightmare.
Thanks again. |

Don't use favourites. Make a POI file with your Favourites instead. Much easier. Use software like POIEdit. Many people only use the Favourites for temporarily storing locations until you can get to a pc to add the POI file. |

And if you call the POI category "_MyFavourites" or whatever (with the underscore at the front) it will always appear first in the list so you can select it quicker.
Don't forget you can turn a Favourite into a POI (and vice versa) on the machine itself too, using the menus or the map screen and cursor. |
