hi i just bought a tomtom 340 xl and i wanted to know if my device could be update the os on it to the 1000 or any other version that is better than this one ? Thanx ! |

I certainly wouldn't go putting that version on it as it will make it worse!
Stick with what it has been supplied with, if you run Navcore intended for a different device it will most probably be unstable and prone to crashing - Mike |

Thanks for the info mike ! its really interesting information, but could you show me a link to a tut on how this can be done ?

1. I would **strongly** heed Mikealder's advice about NOT screwing around with an application not meant for your device.
2. Even if you do choose to ignore his warning, there is no way to obtain the application for the T1000 model since that is closed architecture which translates into the fact that users can't get just application downloads directly from TomTom. Further, T1000 utilizes a web based Home which your model will not work with at this time.
