I have just received my 765T back from the battery recall and I have a sneaking feeling I have received a different version to what I sent in. Firstly they changed the serial number which indicates I have a different device. However all my contacts etc were still in the unit.
I used it this morning for the first time and it completely failed to pick up a traffic signal at all where I used to always get a signal (green light on the cigar lighter plug) There was also no traffic icon on the screen at any point during my journey.
Did the 765 every come in a non-traffic version.
Could another 765T owner post their software details from their device. Here are mine

The TMC lead contains all the "working parts" as it were. Some 765 were sold without the TMC lead but the units were identical.
Can you confirm which lights are on when the lead is plugged in.
Also have you used WebUpdater to make sure everything is up to date. |

I did use the webupdater last night and everything was up to date. I also loaded it with this week's Speed Camera updates
As for the lights on the cable - I get green from the one nearer to the socket and a permanent orange from the other one. _________________ Red Squirrel

I had this problem. Garmin investigated and determined that the traffic module did not have a valid subscription. They resolved the problem by adding the traffic serial number to my account and sending me a new subscription code.
Fine now. I suggest you give Garmin support a call.

I gave them a call as suggested. I described the problem and mentioned your comments about re-linking traffic to my account. The girl put me on hold for a while so she could speak to a "765T Specialist"
When she eventually came back on the line she said that Traffic Master where having problems yesterday and this morning and could I try the sat nav again.
I went out over lunch time and the sat nav did indeed connect to a traffic signal.
So I'm sorted, thanks for the pointers _________________ Red Squirrel
