I am a new UK user of PocketGPSWorld. The database is on a HTC Desire and interfaces with Radardroid Pro (the paid version).
Initially I had difficult in loading the PocketGPSWorld database since I was using the .gpx files and this format yield a file that is too large for Radardroid to load.
One suggestion is that you provide a short description of the various file formats and their relative advantages/disadvantages. This could be in a simple table format showing each format and which support various features such as direction of travel. For example, I believe that neither TomTom nor GPX fromats have this data but iGo does - all three are supported by Radardroid.
Secondly, it would be helpful for android users if known problems with formats - such as the file size of the main part of the GPX version - was published.
Thanks. |

The various file type options are explained on the download page here.
Where issues are known then we make this clear on the Compatibility Table. I'm not familiar with RadarDroid nor is it one we officially support so cannot comment on issues with our data and that application. _________________ Darren Griffin |

You can use the iGO format for RadarDroid. This will also give you directional alerts (i.e. only those cameras in your direction of travel).
I've only used the free version and, from memory, you need to clear the database first and THEN install the update (otherwise you will get duplicates). Also, the free version takes about 45 minutes to process the database!!! Not sure if the paid version improves on this dire speed or not though.
Hope that helps?

PS 'RadarDroid' is actually in the Compatibility Chart that Darren, above, mentions. Look under 'R' |
