Does anyone have any experience or information on this model which I've seen in Makro recently. There are also some on ebay. It has Navteq mapping and looks similar to the Tomtom Go classic |

I bought a Roadcom from Makro. The screen mount seems fragile
but ok if handle gently. Otherwise quite robust. the software is Navteq but I prefer TomTom. Overall a budget unit, you get what you pay for so no real complaints. Have'nt worked out how to load TomTom yet! |

You are able to download 'current' camera locations from website to 400.
I have done this and while I am yet to test on long journey it has worked locally. Download is 6months only then I assume a sub is due. |

The RC400 is currently on Makro Mail at £139.99 ex VAT. - Visited the local store to check them out - hardware appeared reasonable - although software took an age to respond.
Asked the guy if they had any in stock - sure loads of them - mainly returns from customers who had reported NON existant after sales service. He reckoned that the Makro staff had even tried to contact the helpline on behalf of the customers and experienced very little support.
As a ersult they had allegedly "stopped selling" via this brach of Makro.
Shame - unit didnt seem too bad for the dosh.
NB - Website is VPoor - www.roadcom.co.uk |

I bought one of these from Woolies and i find it a great unit. The speed camera software was pretty easy to install using the guide on the roadcom website which looks entirely for the purposes of downloads. I have no complaints and for the price i paid i think i have got a great bargain. |

The operating system is Microsoft WinCE.Net 4.2 and the software is Alturian version 2.2. Thats what it says on the box. |

If it's not too much bother, could you let me know how you find the unit after a few trips? |

Gentlemen, good morning.
I have a GPS Roadcom and I need the driver to be able to include new maps.
Could anyone help me?
Waiting in the wings,
