I wonder which phones and satnavs do give fully working SMS functionality? (I've tried iphones (yuk), Blackberries, 3 different models of Nokia smartphone and any number of simpler phones, with a loads of different Garmins)
Of all the combinations I have tried, only the Nüvi 760 / Nokia 3650 combination ever gave access to text messages - and then it didn't work properly (it would only access SMS stored on the SIM, not the phone).
I just dug out the 3650, charged it up, found a SIM card and tried it with a Nüvi 765 ... no sign of any SMS functionality |

Interesting! Don't believe the link!
I have a Sony Ericsson K750i which, according to the link, does not support phone book or texts for the nuvi 660. Both work perfectly for me! The 660 will even read the texts to me!
However, my Glofiish X650 with Win Mobile 6 will not handle text transfers though it does recognise the phone book with the 660. |
