I have a GO730 ,V8.002 which has been working fine for the last couple of years.
Finally decided it was time to check in with TomTom to see what latest software there was.
it is offering me WORK version 8.396 but I see from various forums that there was a problem with this.
Should I go ahead with the update or if not, what is the latest "tried & trusted" version?
Like a lot of people, I use my satnav nearly everyday but since most of my routes are in the same areas, so long as it keeps working I don't check with TomTom very often!
Any advice welcomed

I tried the 8.396 when it was offered to me a while ago. It didn't do any harm but it offered a lot of new menu icons which it could not deliver. I have reverted to 8.351 which is the latest NavCore for the 720/730. However, If you do experience any problems go back to the previous offering 8.320.
Search for 8.351 by Author whitepilgrim and read all comments in the topic. _________________ Garmin Nuvi 2599

Have you got any intention of updating the map, if not I would advise you stay with the Navcore you have currently got installed to the device.
Sure a new map will bring with it IQ Routes 2 along with the new software but it also slows the device down which rather spoils the device IMHO. if you do want to update the map then you will need the latest Navcore for your device which is 8,351 NOT the Work version Home is stupidly offering you - Mike |
