I had everything working, including lifetime updates, on my old computer. Now it's gone belly up, I've bought a new one.
Before the new one arrives, I managed to contact Garmin to ask them how to install all the programs. They said no problem, just go to my Garmin page and click on update which will install everything on the computer and the device. Problem is, there's no update shown as being available for my lifetime facility, so I can't follow this advice.
Any idea where I go from here? |

Your lifetime facility is for the Garmin device. I don't think you need to worry about the PC

But I always plan routes on the PC, also, I'm being sent some routes via PC and I'll need to download them to the device.
Without PC usage, I probably would hardly use the Garmin.
As an aside, the lifetime shows it expired on June 30, surely that means an update should be available????
P.S. are you the same Alan Sh from HOC? |

RESULT
Got through on the 'phone tonight (after 7 minutes!!!) a very nice man sent me a PDF file. The link on this took me to the Garmin home page, I thought 'what a waste of time' I went to my maps and lo and behold, there's a download again button!! It certainly wasn't there before, Now I seem to be up and running after a four hour download. |
