Does anyone know if the is a POI for roundabout names. I often hear on the travel news on the radio "queues back to so-and-so roundabout", but I'm never exactly sure where the said roundabout is. _________________ TomTom ONE Series 30 (v8) & TMC traffic

Ive never seen one, until now!
Ive just noted down a couple I know of, just add the word `Roundabout` after them for the full name.
I will stand corrected if they are wrong.
I will probably think of more as time goes on.
Feel free to use and upload to PGPSW for further appending too.

If somebody wants to go mad, then this seems like a good place to start!
That's great Jock, I'll make a start on that at some stage _________________ TomTom ONE Series 30 (v8) & TMC traffic

is it worth adding junctions that have a name not just roundabouts?
eg Fox's Corner in Shipley as there used to be a pub called 'The Fox' which hasn't existed for at least 30 years but the junction still gets known as fox's corner.
Four Lane Ends near Girlington which, technically, is one lane going through and two lanes meeting it.
and, finally, Five Lane Ends in Idle which is actually 6 lanes...!!

found this on a link from the wikipedia article, which is useful as some of the terms were a little confusing.

The roundabouts on the M55 junctions all have names but I'm not sure they are signed.
M55 J1 / A6 - Broughton Roundabout (everyone in Preston knows this name)
M55 J3 / A585 - Wesham Circle
M55 J4 / A583 - Marton Circle
There is no M55 J2 - this was reserved for a Preston western bypass that would have married up with the M55, but the main M6 was widened to 4 lanes instead.
Following is a CSV with the M55 junctions and some well-known/ notorious Blackpool junctions. Blackpool Promenade is currently closed along the Golden Mile. The inland roads, particularly Devonshire Road, are heavily used as a result, and I'd recommend visitors to listen to our local station "The Wave" on which some of these names will be heard.
