Custom trail map - great service

I am pleased to report that the Satmap mapping team have just provided another great service.

I e-mailed them some GPX files on Sunday 27 June 2010, and received an e-mail quote for a custom trail map on Monday morning. I placed the order mid afternoon, and the SD card arrived here by recorded delivery 2 days later.

Could I ask, how long was the trail and how much ? And what is the width of the trail either side ?

My trail was a bit of a one off, so the best reply I can give is to suggest that you start to price a route that you have in mind as per the Trail Map 100, Trail Map 200 or Trail Map 300 advertised on the Satmap website.

These all have a 1:25,000 Explorer, 6km wide strip map (i.e. 3km either side of the trail), and a 1:50,000 Landranger, 12km wide strip map (i.e. 6km either side of the trail).
Trail Map 100 is 100km long, and costs £66.02.
Trail Map 200 is 200km long, and costs £72.02.
Trail Map 300 is 300km long, and costs £78.02.

The Satmap mapping team will be able to give you a quote based on your exact requirements (length of route and width of strip maps). You don't have to have both scales if you only want one. You can also ask for a quote to make the maps toggleable.
