I now have an iphone 3g and the tomtom app with tomtom car kit.
My question is the iphone supposed to answer automatic when you resive a call when in the cradle and tomtom nav app is running. the phone is paired via bluetooth with the cradle.
I cant find any settings to allow auto answer and i would have thought it should have as i dont want to have to answer manualy as i like to keep my eyes on the road ahead. _________________ Its only easy if you know the answer.

I haven't found such a setting myself either. I have paired the iphone to my TomTom and that can be set to answer automatically (and it's better volume and sound quality). You could do the same with your GO500. _________________ Dennis

Thank for your reply Dennis, i had problems with the bluetooth on my 500 it just would not pair with device, from what i have read the iphone kit is hands free so it should answer a call.
I will keep playing with it and see if i can get it to work.
Cheers mate. _________________ Its only easy if you know the answer.

The TomTom car kit certainly does handle phone calls - my only gripe with it (apart from no auto answer) is the volume just isn't good enough for my hearing. I'm surprised the 500 doesn't pair with the iPhone - my 700 did so without a murmur - course, it can't do texts, unfortunately.
I actually have my iPhone paired (Bluetooth) with three devices - the TT Car Kit, my GO550 Live and a "Visor Go" bluetooth thing and switch from one to the other depending on circumstances. _________________ Dennis

Good mornig Dennis,
I am going to try my 500 again to see if i can pair it with the iphone (when i get back home sometme today) it used to work fine with my old nokia so it could have been the nokia at fault.
Best Regards.

Ah, the good old Nokia - I have forced myself to stick my 6230i away in a side pocket in the van and have committed to the iPhone. But it's still there (and going abroad on holiday next week!) ready charged up permanently for if I decide I want full functionality back again. So's the 700! _________________ Dennis
