Has anybody found a tool that will let you create routes (say in Google Maps) and download those route onto the iPhone version of Navigon.
The file format seems different to the PDA version of Navigon, I've tried Tyre and that doesn't do it. |

Its not possible to add routes/ POI's etc to any iPhone app due to the way Apple have locked down the file structure making it impossible to copy data to a place where an app can make use of it.
There is the possibility of Jail Breaking the iPhone but even then you need to have an app installed that supports adding in routes in the first place - Mike |

My iPhone is jailbroken and I've found the file the route is stored in, however the format is not one I recognise, it’s a real pain putting routes into Navigon, especially if you want it to follow a certain road instead of “just the quickest”, being lazy I was hoping somebody might of done this, I guess I will need to figure out the file format myself. |

I use the free software (don't forget to donate [I'm not affiliated in any way]) from http://www.routeconverter.de to convert any GPS related format to a "Navigon Mobile Navigator URL (*.txt)". Mail the contents of the txt-file to your iPhone. The generated link will open in Navigon.
Found no way to import POIs though |

This just generates the link for navigation though, it doesn't create a specific route.
By the way, our mobile POI site ( http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/mobilepoi ) will also do this. So, while you can't import POIs as such you can still make use of our database.

Found no way to import POIs though | You can use the same software to save the route in Navigon Mobile format (*.route, I think). You can then use DiskAid (http://www.digidna.net/diskaid) to navigate (no pun intended!) the folders on your iPhone (no jailbreak required) and transfer the route directly). |
