Hello everyone, here's a strange one that I do not understand????

I wanted to go to Burger King (52.25938, 0.01813), when I got there I found a Little Chef, so I decided to correct it when I got home.
I have just gone on the POI submission page, put the coordinates in and found that it is indeed a Little Chef.

So the question is...Why has my TomTom got a Burger King at this location? I update my POI's about once a month. I download to WinRAR, then extract to TT map, overwriting the existing files.

But Burger King wouldn't be overwritten by Little Chef as the point has a different name. You can put multiple POIs in the same physical position. Only if you deleted the previous files would the former name be deleted.

I see what you mean Richard, time for a clear out then. It'll probably do it good if I delete them all and start again. Thumbs Up

I think you will find that a lot of Little Chefs have Burger Kings inside. Two of them that I have used(oh the shame) are Fontwell and the A14 near St Ives. Just looked at the map, if you go further up the A14 to Jcn 27 and then go to streetview you will see what I mean.

Yes, I do that every three months or so. I try and remember the same categories each time I update my POIs, but sometimes I need an extra one and if I don't delete, I start getting towards the maximum allowed.

On the database, there is both a Little Chef and a Burger King at that location. Switch to hybrid view and zoom in as far as you can go. The Burger King one is partly hidden behind The Cloud icon.

You are both right! I have Googled Burger King and it is sometimes a franchise within Little Chef. I have not been to a Little Chef in years, so didn't know this.

Life is one big learning curve. Smile
