I downloaded the Beefeater set of POIs to Copilot. The download and installation seemed to go well, but when I tried to use them all of them were positioned on the 0 Meridian.
Can you help, please?

Hi, Hope you don't mind... I've added a reference to Co-Pilot to your title, in the hope it gets more attention (and hopefully an answer!)

When I read: "POIs all appear on the Meridian" the first time, I thought you had a satnav called a "Meridian" and were happy about it! Embarassed Rolling Eyes

I've just had a look at the Beefeeter CSV file and it looks OK. It sounds like CoPilot is expecting the columns in a certain order and the file you are giving it has 0 (or a non-numeric) in the logitude column.

Are you able to load any other POIs (or the cameras)? Are you doing anything to the CSV file before loading it? What version of CoPilot are you using (not that it will help me but hopefully others will be able to chip in)? Confused

It would also help us to know what platform you are using?

i think for 'normal' pois (as opposed to speed cams) you should use the OV2 format.

1. Thanks to Andy P. That seems to have got the conversations started.

2. The operating system is Win Mobile 6.1 Professional and the software is Copilot 8.

3. POIs have to be loaded using their CoPilot Central interface and CSV data and PNG picture files are specified.

4. I agree that the Beefeater file looks correct. I have opened the file with Notepad and Excel to check the data and this makes no difference. I have just unzipped the file and loaded without opening it, and that makes no difference.

Thanks for the comments so far.

Have you tried our CoPilot .ov2 format files? These are supported by CoPilot and should work.

Darren: no because I am cautious about the effect of loading the wrong file type. I don't want to cause Copilot to crash and end up reinstalling it.

Have the OV2 files been tried with Copilot 8?

Yes. We wouldn't suggest it if they weren't supported.

Hi All

If its any help I use a selection of POI files with Copilot 8 on a windows 6.1 Samsung Omnia without any problems. I use the OV2 files with .png picture files.

Cheers

Hi everyone,
I would be interested to here from anyone about the POI's for the CoPilot 8 on the above phone. I was wondering which type I would need to download, either the csv or ov2 ones? I am not very teccy minded and also would like to know how to install them on the phone please? I am just a little worried about messing the CoPilot system up by putting files in the wrong place and then having to re install it all again. I did manage to install the cameras from the instuctions on the camera download page, thanks guys for the attention to detail, it really helped me and I kept quite calm through the installation, I usually end up getting it wrong and then having to start all over. Thank you in advance.

regards
