Sat Nav with Jag S Type heated front screen.

Can anyone please advise whether Tom Tom/Garmin will pick up signals through heated front windscreen - which appears to have fine metal filaments embedded in it. I think similar to Fords. Have got my eye on TT One IQ with Euro maps. £129 at Halfords. Latter don't know - or seem to care and will not allow me to try one out before buying. Will be my first GPS so not much knowledge. I appreciate that I can add an external ariel but this just adds to the spare wires getting in the way etc.
Any advice gratefully received.

Welcome to the forum, either Garmin or TomTom will be fine sat underneath a wire element heated screen as these don't block the signal, its the heat reflective screens often termed Athermic glass that block the signals but the receivers in the modern devices can work quite well even when confronted with athermic glass these days - Mike
