Hi all, can anyone help me with this problem? I have just bought a new 950 live and when I went onto Home to download the latest maps, both maps loaded but when it came to download to the internal memory Tom Tom Home closed down form my puter. When I tried to start Home again it said Home was still running but couldnt find it anywhere on the puter. Ive tried quite a few more times and it does the same thing at the same point every time. Please help this is driving me around the bend Cheers ...........Woody Oh! I use windows Vista. |

Try running Home in XP compatible mode. _________________ David |

Thanks for the reply David, but as Im not sure how to do that, it gave me an idea. My wife runs a small Laptop that has XP running on it, so I have connected my 950 on it and it seems to be working so far. Its reloading both maps Europe and North America so far so good, I will keep you informed. Thanks for the Idea David .....Cheers. Woody |

I don't have Vista here but my understanding is that you can right click on the shortcut for Home and select properties and the choice of running as XP compatible will be there .... or something like that
I hope members here with vista will clarify the steps necessary..... _________________ David |

Hi David, your right on the money with that, you right click on the short cut and then proprtys then click on compatability and this gives you the option to run in Windows 95, 98 with ME Windows NT and 2000, XP. I will try that when Ive finished downloading my maps on my wifes puter. Aain many thanks. I will keep you informed of my progress......Woody |

Hi David, My wifes puter did the trick and I downloaded my maps from hers with XP on it. Then I tried on mine the way you suggested but the same thing happened, Home closed down again. So it looks like I will be using her laptop to update my TomTom. ....Thanks for your replies. Woody |
