|
|
Hi all,
Bit of a weird one this, was using the TT app earlier with a Griffin Power Jolt plugged in to keep it charged.
I then noticed no voice instructions, no music from the iPod, I just put it down to a crash.
When i got out of the car the sound was fine with the TT app and everything else!
I started the iPod going, plugged the power jolt in and then the music stops, as does the TT voice instructions!
Anyone come across this? why does it do it? and can it be stopped?
Many thanks |

It's an Apple thing, if it detects ext power has been removed it pauses music etc. Same happens to my Kensington LiquidAux Carkit.
No way of stopping it as far as I know. The same happens if you have headphones in an iPod/iPhone/Touch. Unplug them and the audio is paused. _________________ Darren Griffin |

What if you connect power and THEN start the app? _________________ Darren Griffin |

No makes no bloody difference!
Plug it in and it comes up accessory not supported do you want to turn airplane mode on?
It acts just like when I dock it with my Bose sound dock. Weird.
Used my dads cheapo charger from eBay and it's bloody fine! |

What device are you using it with? I've just checked and it's only supported on v1 Touch and iPod's. Not suitable for any iPhone variant. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Thanks Darren.
For those of us in the UK, it looks as if the supported version can be purchased from Amazon for £11.15
It does specifically mention iPhone, so hopefully it will be OK, as I have just ordered one! |

Thanks again Darren... I can't ask for a better recommendation than that now, can I!
Actually, I have just noticed that the title of this thread says Garmin Power Jolt, rather than Griffin... perhaps you could 'edit' that! |

It's not the Power Jolt with the auxillary socket to connect to your stereo is it?
If it is you would have to manually redirect the audio output from "Dock Connector" to "speaker" using the iPod app. |
