tomtom i phone gps car kit

hi does anyone know if the i phone with a back cover fitted ,fit the new tomtom car kit.
the cover i have on my i phone looks as if there is plenty of open space on the top and bottom but will the back have enough space..
i know you can say to take it off but that will be a pain as i have the cover with the snap on front that covers the chrome bezel of the front of the i phone any help please

It probably won't fit the car kit holder, my 3G iPhone is fine as I use a Zagg Shield which provides plenty of protection but the wife uses a 3GS fitted in to a case that provides more protection, its a slimline case but the phone won't fit the car kit unless the case is removed first - Mike
