|
|
Sorry if this has been posted before. I did a quick search but couldn't find anything.
Basically I now have a Ford Mondeo which has the standard Ford heated windscreen. This seems to act as a shield for the Navman S90i TMC aerial as the TMC will not receive any signal.
I seem to recall reading that the solution is to buy a special fitting but I cannot seem to track down any information on this.
Can anyone advise please ?
Thank you |

The heater elements within the Mondeo screen shouldn't be knocking out the RDS signal unless the windscreen has also got an Athermic coating, best bet is to couple the input to the aerial socket to the cars external FM aerial, what type of plug is fitted to the end of the existing Navman TMC aerial wire?
Also reception issues are still around in parts of the UK, where are you located?? - Mike |

The plug is a standard 2.5mm TRS that comes with the Navman aerial wire and plugs into the side of the unit. |

Have a read of the details in This Thread which explain how to connect the existing TMC aerial to the car aerial - Mike |
