|
|
Hi, I swapped my TT for a TT 740 live and like a fool subscribed to TT to receive speed cameras and live traffic. When I bought it I was told the only way I can download cameras is through TT. Like a mug I tried it and after 4 months trailing it
I’m fed up, cameras that I know have been in place for ages don’t show up on my TT on approach or when I drive past even though I download updates regularly.
I’ve now told TT to stuff their live updates. So my question is, if I subscribe to this site can I down load cameras and install on my TT 740 Live.
Appreciate any help

Yes, the GO 740 is fully compatible with the speed camera database from this site. It is as simple as downloading a set of files, copying them to your device, then setting up the warnings to what you like.

There are installation instructions HERE,
and a video of how to do it HERE.
Both those links can also be found in the table of compatible models on the main download page, which is HERE.
Don't forget we have a range of "real voice" warnings you can use too, to replace the horrible beeps of the TT-supplied one.
You can find those HERE.
Once you have the PGPSW camera data up and running, you can use the instructions HERE to remove the TomTom-supplied warnings, although you could just switch them off in "Safety Preferences" if you wish.
We often recommend you run them both side by side for a while, just to show yourself what a good decision you made!
Hope that helps!
Any problems, just ask. |

Many thanks | Hmm. You may just discover that your 30 days notice turns out to be 90 days. I'd recommend you to get the database from here right away, because you've already discovered the TT one is no good. You can't get out of paying to terminate their service, but just because you're still paying for it doesn't mean it gets any better! _________________ Dennis
