Everything seems to be working alright except for this one important point. When I use TomTom to make a phone call my Sony mobile will either let the phone call be heard through the phone speaker or on TomTom's speaker. I am trying very hard to get phone sound out of the car speakers. I can only do this when I turn off TomTom, and use only the phone and car stereo. How can I get all three working togther ?

Welcome to the forum, the TomTom can connect to your car stereo if it supports A2DP but it will only play navigation sounds through the car system, all phone calls will be sent via Bluetooth to the TomTom where it will use its own built in speaker.
There used to be a way to hack the x10 devices to route the phone audio out via the Line Out socket but TomTom made the work around unusable with Navcore 6,51 if you device is running an earlier version than this it might be possible to get phone audio via Line out but not Bluetooth - Mike |

Can anyone verify that the IO Play unit would then give me telephone output with my TomTom into my car speakers ? |

That is exactly how I have mine set up, TomTom is connected to iO-Play for Nav instructions and music through the car stereo using its Bluetooth link, my phone is connected to the other channel in the iO-Play via Bluetooth so if it rings the phone call is played through the car speakers.
The only slight downside is you can't see who is phoning you on the TomTom when you answer the call as the phone isn't connected to the TomTom. The big plus point though is a very reliable handsfree system in the car - Mike |
