I believe so, my memory's getting a little vague with the CoPilot sleeve but from what I recall you do need to have CoPilot installed and then install TomTom and you should be good to go, if you uninstall CoPilot then you will need to install a driver.

If you remove CoPilot then you will need to install the CoPilot GPS Jacket Driver. This is available in a 'GPS Jacket' folder on the CoPilot install CD, alternatively you can download it here.

Once this driver is installed (and it must be the CoPilot version not the Navman one) you can use any GPS Application that can accept data from a NMEA compatible GPS such as your jacket including all flavours of TomTom Thumbs Up

Not thick at all, it's not obvious to the uninitiated. Copy the .cab file contained in the .zip file to the 'My Documents' folder on your PPC using Active Sync.

Then using Explorer on the PPC, locate the .cab file and double-tap it, this will launch the installer and at the end auto delete the .cab file (these instructions apply to any PPC installation that comes in .cab format) Thumbs Up

Two, Niels UKPostCode utility, a superb free download that allows you to input a Post Code and select 'Navigate To'. It's a plug-in for TomTom, available from www.digitools.co.uk and ideal for you with your job and CheckPOInt with our Safety Camera database, again both free Thumbs Up

The jacket has always suffered from poor performance in Urban canyon environments, when you get these situations it is useful to look at the number of sats being received in the GPS status applet as this will give an indication of the cause.

Darren I really cant thank you enough for all the advice you have given me do you think it wise to upgrade my jacket? Will I get better performance the only reason I use a jacket is I have a 2 gig microdrive in it and if I changed to another type of gps I would have to buy a jacket to use the micro drive
Thanks again Thumbs Up

What van do you have as you should see more sats in normal use unless you have a coated windscreen, common in Citroen/Peugeot and some others which block the GPS signal.

If this is the cause then a re-rad antenna could well be the solution tour problem Smile
