Can anyone help me? I use an IPAQ 2210 with TomTom. I have upgraded to version 3. Tonight, I downloaded version 3.01.
I now have a problem! As soon as I try to open TomTom I get a screen headed Bluetooth Console which asks me to select a Bluetooth device. I don't have one so I click cancel and it comes back to the same screen. What do I do? Please help

If you don't have a BT GPS then you should deinstall the TomTom~GPS driver (3.01 or 3.02) and re-install TomTom GPS 2.07 (from the download page here)

Hi,

I dont have that bluetooth problem but I do have the gps driver v3.02 (with TT v3.01), a TomTom silver wired gps and an ipaq 5450.

Should I be running 2.07 or is 3.02 fine if you dont see the bluetooth screen?

Thanks

if it runs fine then don't change. Generally 3.02 is overkill for non-BT receivers. We don't have confidence that higher version numbers mean higher stability...

Soft reset the Pocket PC to ensure nothing is running.

Start Menu, Settings, System tab, tap on TomTom ~ GPS, tap Remove. Press OK - the Pocket PC will soft reset.

I could say "rinse and repeat" - TomTom GPS 2.08 and onwards needs a second uninstall to be removed. Some versions force a soft reset after the second uninstall, some don't, but I do recommend you soft reset anyway.

With the Pocket PC connected to ActiveSync, run the TomTom GPS 2.07 installer. You will then need to set up your GPS again (on the second tab of the TomTom GPS application - take the 'tick' out of the box at the top left before changing the settings, then put it back again when you've finished).

Thanks for your response. I decided to perform a Hard reset and reinstall everything. It all now works ok although I have not got the patches for the new TomTom3. Do you think I should try again? - I am a novice and staggering from crisis to crisis although I do seem to get there in the end!

Navigator 3.01 is a good idea if you haven't already got it installed (many CDs contain Navigator 3.01 rather than 3.00). Check using About... on the File menu.

GPS - if the version installed works, I wouldn't worry too much about changing.
