I'm sure this isn't supposed to be happening, but since installing the new Firmware, my Active 10 is (a) taking longer to get initial fix, eg three minutes this morning with a clear sky, and (b) for the first time ever, losing the fix during a walk (it's always stuck like glue once fixed). It's weird though - at one point I was seeing 11 satellites with an average strength of 37 - and it still wouldn't fix. Anyone else having a similar experience? |

I did say I think it's weird and counter-intuitive. Maybe my satmap was just having a bad hair day. I'd still like to hear from others who've done the upgrade though. |

Having seen some comments on this forum about taking longer to get a gps fix with the 1.4 software, I used a stopwatch to time my early unit (serial 296) for its first fix after the upgrade.
It took 1min 15 secs to get the fix, some 10 days after its previous use. |
