Hi

I am after some help and guidance concerning my Garmin nuvi 760 and use of the Pocket GPS World Speed Camera data base. This is what I have done.

I have already installed on the GPS the Cyclops camera positions from Garmin dated 4-Sept-09 (from my 3 month free tirla) and the files are sitting in the \Garmin\POI directory entitled UKCyclopsSample.gpi
I have installed correctly the POILoader as per instructions
I have downloaded the correct copy of the GPSWorld database as per instructions
I have run the POILoader and successfully installed the additional POI points on the GPS without any problems.

When I go to the Proximity Points within the Tools...System menus it shows 2 options each with check boxes aside

1) Garmin Speed Camera Database
2) Custom POI

Having options 1 above enabled works fine camera and audible warnings etc and you can turn if off too by unticking the box without a problem.

But selecting option 2 (Custom POI) has no effect and no warning visible or audible are working – even when I pass fixed camera which have been there for ages etc.

I have tried selecting option 2 both without option 1 enabled and with option 1 enabled but it makes no difference – and the speed camera icons jpg’s shown in the unzipped directory of the GPSworld database do not appear.

I have tried using the POILoader to remove all previously installed POI and started afresh – but this has had no effect at all.

Would be grateful for your counsel

Thanks

You're not the first and you probably won't be the last!

Glad you got it sorted... Smile
