I appear to have lost my voice control menu, the Mic is missing from the map screen and the icon in the menu id geyed out. Tried the usual hard reset etc same prpblem. Any ideas?

Its a Go 940

I've had this before (or somethng similar ) on a 720. I think a reset AND a return to factory settings (from the menu) fixed it.

Also check you still have the voice conttol files in the current map you're using. "cspeech_GBR.dat...."

It will more than likely reset the "support_asr.dat" file contents to the value of 1 as this file can become corupted with garbage or a 0 in which case ASR won't work, hitting the restore factory defaults will put this file back to what it should be - This is an educated guess, but I cannot think of anything else a restore option will be able to fix to get this working again - Mike
