I got a new tomtom 930t for xmas which was bought from a reputable web site. It came with West and central european and North American maps.
After updating the tomtom using tomtom Home, the North American map does not appear on my tomtom 930T and I do not have a choice between using the european map or the west european one. I`ve tried using the guaranteed map update in tomtom Home but to no avail. Where has my North American map gone. why does it not appear on my device |

Did you make an Explorer backup prior to updating? What exactly did you update using Home, the maps?
Have you tried a pin reset on the unit? _________________ David |

Yes I did backup my tomtom with explorer. Whatever updates that appeared on tomtom home that were applicable to my device were updated the west and central european map was udated. using manage my device with tt home it says that a map is ready to download and install for free under latest map guarantee but when clicking get it nothing appears ready to download.
Under items on my device it says that the north american map is on my device but not activated |

If you have a full Explorer backup already, do another one now (named accordingly) and then copy the original one back onto the machine. You should then be back where you started.
Then try using the Latest Map Guarantee entry in the top menu rather then anywhere else.
To update the NA map you may need to switch to the NA map in the preferences menu (map preferences/switch map) first.
Also, I think you may be confused about the West and Central Europe map. That is ONE map, so there won't be any way to "choose between them". |
