|
|
Advice please. On the A27 through Havant, Portsmouth, to Chichester, they have installed average speed cameras. On going through from west to east, the halfway cameras switch off the constant warnings and the one at the end of the works switch it back on. So on my Becker, I then get constant warnings again even though there are no roadworks. The only way of silencing it is to switch off the unit and reboot.
Coming down the A3(M) into the same roadworks going west or the very end set of cameras, it does exactly the same thing and a reboot is required to stop it.
Is there anything that can be done, it's so annoying? My Becker makes a noise every two seconds whilst in the works then a different noise sounds to switch them off.

Same thing happens with iGO. It appears the software expects cameras in pairs, as on the continent I believe, but here in the UK they can be in three or more, so any odd number will be taken as a start. On my iGO I used to be able to double tap on the on screen warning and it would stop it but recently it happened, on the A2, and the tap/double tap, no longer works. Aaaaaggghhh. _________________ Formerly known as Lost_Property

Thanks, guys, will give that a try. Been driving me mad over the weekend. Obviously a software fault that wants fixing. Knowing the Becker, it won't work, like their sounds!!

As far as I remember, tap and hold just cancels the alert, it does not reset the average speed calculation, but at least it shuts it up . |

These are my local cameras, and it is, very annoying as per above. As I'm fortunate enough to know them, I can at least disable the sound for that stretch. (Particularly when the wife is in one of her anti GPS moods...'Do we have to have that racket on....don't you know this road yet ?') |

Hi
Why not just delete the middle camera from database.

because if you turn off after the 2nd camera then you are in the same predicament...
the issue is with nav n go deciding that all specs cameras are in two's. they have been told a number of times and even given suggestions as to how to deal with it but nothing has changed yet.

Presumably the device is within her reach? Teach her how to stop it AND explain that she'll not hear them if you're both walking when you lose your licence for forgetting about them? _________________ Dennis

But it's nice to have the average speed readout display, which you loose on the tap and hold 'Shut Up' method. |
