Sounds like a Harison Ford movie!!!

What has happened is that when I turn on my 740L the screen comes on and normally there are three small icons bottom left corner
-- Microphone -- North arrow and Mobile phone,
-- if my phone isn't connected it has a red cross through it..
-- sitting in the car Tom senses that I have my phone and it speaks
-- "Connected to Maurice's phone" and has the same words go across the top of the screen
Then in place of the phone icon with a Red Cross is a normal phone icon..
-- indicating that the phone is connected.

In the past couple of days this icon has stopped apearing... Sad
I have:
Rebooted my Tom-tom by holding down the start button...to no avail
Rebooted my phone by turning it off -- to no avail
looked through menues etc to see if it can be switched

Any ideas where the icon has gone and how it can be got back.
I think my version is 8.203 (99717/0810210) if that helps

Maurice

Try deleting the connection between the 740 and the phone and then reconnecting it. The TT BT is very flaky.
