|
|
Hi all
Just wondering if there is any way to tell tomtom 720 to list the POIs I have made NOT by distance but in alphabetical order?
Sure, the find option is there but just curious why has it always to be in terms of distance from where I am. (if poi near you is chosen..or for that matter any other option is selected) it always would show pois by distance.
Also, why doesn't a POI [about 250 miles away from me now] that I saved in my POI categoryaway, show up in the list when I try to find it. I have to write six or seven letters of the full name of the poi until it appears from nowhere. why and how to change it?
Any advice please

Question 1 - no I'm afraid not
question 2 - When you first go to any POI page (closest to home, destination, current location etc.) it only shows the closest 48 entries. But when you "search" it always searches the entire POI category.
So I guess in your example you must have lots of entries with very similar beginnings to their names? |

1. Always been in distance (Something ive thought handy would be ABC too!)
2. Think this depends on your navcore/igator. v6 shows 100 POIS, v7 shows only 24. ( so im assuming its v8 which gives you 48 nearest? )
[3] If you have POIS named the same, you should give them an ID number ( a bit like the scdb ) to give it a unique reference.
The only way to find your POI if its off the search radar is to use Browse Map, and locate the area which you think its in, the use the Find POI nearby option to lsit them. ( or use show POI on map )
Hope that Helps? _________________ TomTom 700 GO user since Dec 2005.
