Hi mickflan and welcome to the forum
Bad news is that the product key is the key to setting up your device, without it it becomes a bit useless. normally the key is found on the mapping cd pack or the manual, consisting of something like xxx-xxx-xxxxx-xxxxx.
If you haven't any of these then you will need to purchase a new map pack. these can be bought from the Teleatlas web shop, or you could look on ebay but they must include the product keys so beware! _________________ Dom

Thanks for the reply Mostdom,
I have had a look at the teleatlas site and they dont do anything for the ICN520 so if anybody is reading this and has some old cds laying around be much appreciated.
Thanks Mick |

you dont need the product key as it should be already activated. In the desktop iCN 520 should be Smart St 2005, click on Tools and recover registration information. This will download the keys to the device. |

I miss read the first post to read you need both keys. Captaindrift is right that the device is fine if all is already installed. However you do get two keys in the set one for the maps and one for the smart ST software and I'm sure you can't even install the pc software without that key. Been a while since I last installed the smart st software mind! _________________ Dom

While I've heard of the possibility of crossing navman with TomTom I don't know how it's done, but good luck all the same. _________________ Dom

A couple of things.
Contact Navman Technical support. In the past theya have sent CD's to people in your situation, although the 520 is very old by their standards.
Have a look on the web for "Navman Unlocked" - there a whole web site dedicated to putting otehr software on iCN's, and more seem to be springing up every day. |

Ok, time to bring to your attention our policies on piracy. We take a strict line on discussion of and use of pirated software.
The site you linked to is offering a pirated copy of software. If you want to hack the iCN520 to run TomTom then we have no issue with that but you would need to buy a licensed version of the software.
Please don't ask for help in installing pirate software here or post links to sites offering pirate software. _________________ Darren Griffin |

As you cannot purchase TTN5 or TTN6 and TTN7 won't install to the iCN510/ 520 this is a waste of time going any further, you should try getting hold of the original software although even that will be running very out of date maps - To be honest the purchase has been a waste of money IMHO - Mike |

Fair enough, just re-stating our stance on that to be crystal clear _________________ Darren Griffin |
