|
|
Hi folks,
Because my house is relatively new in SatNav map terms, the road for it doesn't appear on Navigon (or any other SatNav I've used).
Navigon only seems to want to specify Home by address, but there is no address that's close to my house, which is a bit frustrating.
Am I missing something, or is there an alternative way to add the Home address? e.g. selecting the map, selecting the current GPS position.
Thanks |

Assuming that the iphone Navigon software is broadly the same as on the 'conventional' PNDs, then if you drive display the GPS screen with coordinates of your current position, you should get a 'save' current position option, including saving as 'Home'.
Sorry for any red herrings! _________________ David

also, assuming you know where you live you could always set it to the nearest known road to your home and find your way back from there? extra security too if someone robs your phone then they won't be able to find your home to also get the charger and cable!

...And the TV, PC ...
Also, as a 'good' neighbour, I made sure my 'home' was NOT outside someone else's house either, but on a nearby main road - I dare say people might be a bit put out at being burgled, even in error.
I usually manage to find my way back from there ... _________________ David

Thanks for the tips guys.
Curiously Navigon will *only* accept an address for Home.
I'll have to try and figure out what the numeric address for the closest junction is, which is tricky due to the weird road layouts here. |
