TT GO540 Live & Blackberry Bold 9000 - "Read/Write

On my GO540 there is a provision for read/write messages through my Blackberry Bold 9000. Everything else works on the phone, talk, load phonebook, etc but not messages.
If I select the icon 'Read/Write message' the next screen shows all icons greyed out, (read inbox, read outbox, write message & write location message).
On the bottom left corner of the TT it shows the phone icon with 'Blackberry Bold' and '0 unread messages', it seems to stay at 0 even when messages are received.
Is there anyway to get the messages part working or is i a case of 'not yet available' or 'not compatible'?

I do not know the Blackberry well but my HTC phones do exactly the same as yours whilst my old Sony works, so I assume it is a compatibility issue. I assume it is because these more advanced phones store text messages as email messages internally and normally only use the SIM for access.
