Hi,
Does anyone have any idea where I might be able to get a ball mount for my Garmin from?
I don't want one with a sucker, vent mount, cupholder mount or similar, I just want the ball, with a short threaded bolt kinda thing coming out of the back, so I can mount the ball direct to a flat surface - any ideas??
I've tried RAM-Mount, their balls are bigger than the 17mm (or thereabouts) that I need...
TIA.... _________________ Nuvi 765T, CoPilot on iPhone.... |

Thanks - thats sort of what I'm looking for, but not if you see what I mean!
I'm after the ball, plus a threaded stalk, so I can drop the thread through a drilled hole and then stick a nut on the back to secure it - there was a guy on here gauging interest in making them at the end of last year (I found his post and replied to it yesterday) but he seems to have dropped the idea / disappeared!
I'll keep looking I suppose! _________________ Nuvi 765T, CoPilot on iPhone.... |

I have just looked at mine and you may be able to do that with it.
The ball is hollow, and has a hollow pastic shaft supporting it. You could cut the shaft, and then put a bolt down the hole. It looks like an M4 bolt would just about fit.
