|
|
Silly question I know, but just to make sure. If I wish to use the European camera database for multiple countries, do I need to paste the same files into all of the separate country directories on my card, i.e. MAPS\FRA, MAPS\NLD etc.
Also is there a key somewhere for the country codes present in the directory, as some of them are not that obvious to me? |

The only way I can think of doing it is exactly that - to copy the speed camera files into each map directory.
I haven't found an exact list of the countries, but this page might give you some clues for the countries you are stuck on. |

just been playing.
putting the EUR files in NLD (netherlands) and then searching for speed cam pois around amsterdam and it lists them and shows icons on map as you would expect.
searching around paris it finds the poi and locates it on the map BUT it doesn't show the icon...
looks like you will have to copy them to each map folder for each country you will be going to.
however, i couldn;t manage to do any warn when near's... (in sygic anyway, assume it's the same with mcguider)

Yes they will need to be in each map folder as Sygic only opens the map for the country you are in.
Not sure about the warning alerts - will have a play for you to see if it is affecting mine the same. |

Can't remember what I was looking for here but think it is setting POI alerts properly....
In McGuider the only options are to warn when on route or to set an alert to warn in a radius (not always good for speed cameras). You get to this from the Manage POI menu. |
