I have the straight pin type module and am running 8.351 with 840 2562 maps. when the unit is switched on it sometimes switches off. If i press the traffic icon it says RDS TMC not compatible with this map combination. Have they stopped it for the new maps then? I did read a thread about the switching off problem so i tried an earlier app, the unit wouldnt even start. Any ideas or knowledge on this problem would be appreciated. |

I can't answer the question, but I use exactly the same combination of app & map on my 520, and have no problems with RDS TMC. _________________ Garmin DriveSmart 50 LMT-D |

This sounds like you have bought a USA version of the RDS cable! This error message appears only when you use a USA cable with a European map! _________________ Tomtom GO 1005 LIVE

Thanks for the replies.
I think you are right. i was hoping that wasn't going to be the case but as i changed to my US maps and connected the module the green arrow started to seek a signal.
Oh well another fight through Ebay for a refund from yet another skank selling stuff as for the Uk market. |
