Hi does anyone know which maps a 2007 Saab (built in unit) has. I've been told BMW ones will work. the reason i ask is because i want to buy the most upto date maps and Saab dont update. TomTom on it would be great. |

You may be able to find the answer if you peruse the on-line map shops of TeleAtlas and Navteq. One of those is likely to be the map provider for Saab. _________________ Darren Griffin |

A quick check reveals it's Navteq, see here. _________________ Darren Griffin |

so does that mean if saab's latest update was say december 08 and vauxhall's was jan 09 if both use navteq will either work in same system? i dont want to buy a disk then find it won't work as they are very expensive compared to tomtom updates |

No, you would need the SAAB disk or one known to be compatible. But I would expect Navteq to be selling the very latest map data regardless of system. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Hi Heysham
Did you make any progress with getting maps for your Saab? I have just bought a 2007 Saab 9-3 with factory fit touch screen satnav / CD changer (Infotainment Plus?) and would like to get some more up-to-date maps.
Can anyone help point me in the right direction?
Even a hint of which manufacturer makes the Saab navigation would be good.
Thanks |
