My 1st post so please be gentle with me Very Happy
A few prob stupid questions on speed camera database use on my TT510.

Using above on my motorbike. My question is
After installing database etc do I need to specify a route to recieve warnings on speed camera's ? ie If TT is switched on and just out riding with no route planned just on a mystery tour, will the tomtom still warn me of cameras etc or will it only work if i have selected a route etc?
Sorry if thats a stupid question and if already answered in another post if you could re direct me Thanks
Steve

It's not a stupid question.

If when you set up the camera warnings you chose "Warn only on route", you do indeed need to plan a route, otherwise it has no route to warn along.

You can choose (tick) - "Warn only on route", then you must ALWAYS plan a route or you will not get ANY warnings at all.

If you do have warning sounds, but have not ticked "Warn only on route", you'll get a warning for every camera within the distance you have chosen. For example if you choose 800 yards warning distance, you WILL get warnings from cameras nearly half a mile away to your side.

If "Mystery Tour" is your preferred Modus Operandum, don't tick "Warn only on route".

My own personal preference is to always "Warn only on route" AND I always plan a route - it needn't be the precise destination, just fairly close so that I'm generally following the correct route.
