Try THIS
Those are the instructions for the camera database but the basic principle should be the same. |

Just joined so please forgive opening old post. Your POI updates come down as .csv files but your advice above is for .txt files.
Also my MyGuide 3100's flash disk has \MyGuide\POI\SPEEDCAM but no other \POI\ subdirectories. It has a lot of POI data in the software - hotels, food, shopping, etc but no obvious place where the data is held.
I have enabled windows explorer on the machine by editing the addons.txt file so I can browse the file structure and copy files to/from flash/SD card to add updates.
Any advice would be appreciated. |

I've no experience of your particular sat-nav, so I can't give definitive instructions, but I hope the issue here is simply that the speed camera database is available in a lot more file formats than the other POIs are.
However, that shouldn't be a problem as you can use one of several programs to convert POI files from one format to another.
The one I use is called POIEdit. That will definitely convert from .csv to .txt.
Where you then put the files, I'm afraid you'll have to experiment! |

I think you need to have a read of the iGo forum HERE
Your file structure (\MyGuide\POI\SPEEDCAM) sounds the same as used by iGo.
Not sure that you can add other poi's apart from the safety camera files very easily. I can tell you that you cannot just add a poi file for anything other than the safety cameras. You have to edit the software and make new menus to be able to add your own or downloaded poi's. |

Thank you for your reply. I still have not solved the POI edit problem but have made major progress elsewhere and am closer to a solution. I have fully unlocked the device and now have MIO_Pocket_3.49 running. This gives me various file viewers (doc,txt,rft,PDF,..), office functions and proper control of multimedia apps. Currently investigating database tools and MortScript. Will get back if I have success. |
