I have been using TT6 on my HP 4700 and would like to use it on my Nokia 95 8GB. If this is possible, can some kind soul guide me through the proceedure for loading it onto my phone. Lofty.
Hi,
Unless you own the original TTN6 DVD, you cannot port the software across as they iuse two different Operating systems. Nokia Symbian , 4700 MW. The maps are unaffected, but make sure you have the product codes for these as they will need registration.
If you have the DVD, my advice is to plug the phone in and tell the installer to use the memory card (which is the MASS STORAGE) on the N95 8GB. This will only work if you select the Mass Storage on the phone, not sync option when you plug the phone into the computer using the USB cable.
Works well with BT GPS receivers, but NOT the internal GPS on the phone (there are ways around this, which "allegedly" do work ;-), but you will need to load a few programs onto the phone and run a hacked version of the TTN6 software, which are downloadable, although, of course I could not comment on this working or not ;-0) _________________ iPhone5, TomTom, Google maps, Navfree, Viewranger and Apple Maps (ekk)
