I'm with Be* and downloaded and installed without a problem. Could still be a local ISP issue I guess. I will share the crpoi.dat if the admins/mods say it is ok. |

Oops.. I just mentioned this in the other maps thread - I didn't see this one.
Same issue with me - corrupt download using O2 ISP. I'll echo the request for someone to share the crpoi.dat file like last time.
Thanks! |

I'm on O2 as well and mine has just successfully downloaded, installed etc. All within three minutes, so maybe it's not ISP related.

Hi croz
Not again?
I haven’t downloaded the new map yet and it will be interesting to see if I get the same result as you.
However, I wont be bothered one way or the other because I deleted the corrupt file on the last new map and it has never bothered me one bit. In fact I had forgotten all about it until I read your new Post today. So, all is not lost. _________________ Tomtom Go 720.

I don't see much wrong with sharing a file that is nothing to do with activation, either PM the link between each other or I will upload it when I get home and send links out, it won't be till Sunday though as I am not uploading files from a mobile phone while sat next to my tent! - Mike |

Yes, I can confirm I have exactly the same issue again with the new v8.30 maps! Corrupt crpoi.dat file again.... Just delete it... Not sure why some are going out ok and others not.
However I wonder if I can just copy my v8.25 crpoi.dat file to my TomTom once it has installed the v8.30 maps, or even copy the "corrupt" v8.30 across. _________________ TTG 720

Hi Folks
I have downloaded the new Map and, Bingo! It has the same corrupt file as we suffered on the last new map download. Most strange.
However, no problem, I just deleted the file the same as last time and all is well.
By the way, it runs quite ok with navcore v8.302. I use that version of navcore because I can not hear the voice above the Transit engine and tyre noise if using v8.350. _________________ Tomtom Go 720.

The device will work fine without crpoi.dat, but you will be missing the "extra info" supplied for many POIs now, such as address, email address, FAX no etc. |

Hi
Sorry to bring this topic back again! Does anyone know if the corrupt crpoi.dat file is still occurring on the new maps released earlier this week when downloading from O2 broadband?
Thought I'd ask before I download another corrupt file and lose my temper!! |

Just going on the principal that there's a long thread going about the new version and no-one that I've seen has mentioned it, I'd assume it was OK.
Of course, as crpoi.dat is NOT a show-stopper, any problems possibly haven't been noticed. _________________ Gerry

Yay - thanks for the confirmation. Good to see this has been resolved. I'll attempt it later after a few beers! |

Hi croz
Yes, like you I had the corrupt file on the previous map downloads but this latest download was ok. I wonder where the fault lay. Whoever was responsible for the corrupt file appears to be keeping quiet. _________________ Tomtom Go 720.
