I have a Live Services subscription and the credit card it is on has expired. I have had the snotty emails from TomTom about they will close my account in 5 days if I do not contact them.
We wish to inform you that our attempt to collect the subscription fee of GBP7,98 for your 'LIVE UK' subscription was unsuccessful. We will attempt to collect the subscription fee again within 5 days. Please ensure that your account balance covers this fee. If your payment details have changed, please contact TomTom Customer Support.
If this second attempt fails, your subscription will be cancelled and you will no longer have access to the 'LIVE UK' subscription.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Tom Tom Customer support.
I try and contact the support using the links in the email to support but it continually goes around in the you need to log-on to do this when I am logged on loop.
I phone customer support and they tell me to buy through TT Home again, I try to and get the following error:
ERROR: 774/#https://community.tomtom.com/payment/initiatePayment: Error from server: You cannot proceed with this order because you have already bought one or more items in your shopping basket before. Please remove the item%28s%29 from your shopping basket.

This is just appalling customer service when I want to give them my money! _________________ Drivelux
Yep, that's the error I got. Their server knows you have live services enabled, so won't let you buy again. Don't worry about it, and just let it expire. Then when it stops working, go buy it again with the new card and it will work.
This is sort of mirroring my experience trying to buy the 12 month version where I had to give effectively 3 months notice before I can buy it. I have to wait until it expires and then I can buy again. I don't think their systems are complete really yet. Working, not well, but more to do.
